Meet our Farmers!

We are extremely excited to announce some of the farmers you can expect to see at the Ambler Farmers’ Market this Spring! It is a great lineup, each of the farms bring something different and unique to the table. We do anticipate adding a few other vendors, but couldn’t wait any longer to share the news! We will keep you posted as new information is available.

Pennypack in Ambler!

Pennypack Farm (Horsham, Pa): Less than five miles from Ambler, it’s hard to get any more local than this! They have also recently acquired land even closer in The Highlands, which truly makes them our neighbor. Pennypack is very well known in our area, with many of you taking part in their CSA program. You will find a wide assortment of organically produced vegetables, as well as, herbs, flowers and a diversity of cow and goat cheeses from other local sustainable farms. www.pennypackfarm.org

Frecon peachesFrecon Farms (Boyertown, Pa): Frecon Farms has been growing some of Pennsylvania’s finest tree fruits since 1944 (read their history here). Cherries, peaches, plums, blueberries, apricots, nectarines, raspberries, apples, pears, pumpkins, and squash. You can also expect cider, hard cider, fruit butters, and more! www.freconfarms.com

Clay Brick Farms (Lancaster County, Pa): Clay Brick Farms offers a wide array of veggies, some fruit, grass-fed beef, pastured chicken, eggs, jams and pickled products. You won’t find them online, but that’s because they’re too busy focusing on the farm, rest assured, you will be pleased!

DavidsonsDavidson Exotics (Kennett Square, Pa): What more can we say but, MUSHROOMS! Davidson’s offers a wonderful variety of exotic mushrooms from the mushroom capital of the world (or at least of our neck of the woods).

If there’s something specific you’d like to see at the market, please feel free to leave a comment below!

Market season is right around the corner and as we get closer, we will have more exciting news to share with you, stay tuned to our facebook page for the most up to date news. We can’t wait to see you at the market in May (opening day will be announced soon)!

  1. Great Harvest Bread would be a great addition. They used to come to the Oakmont Market in Havertown and they have a space in the Ardmore Farmers’ Market.
