Pennypack Farm at Ambler Farmers MarketWith the market opening in just a few short weeks, we wanted to let you know who will bringing you your fresh, local food this year. Rest assured, we are bringing back our fantastic farmers and vendors from last year, as well as welcoming some exciting new faces and products! Below is a list of our current lineup, but stay tuned, as we may have a few more surprises up our sleeve.

We hope to see you all on opening day, Saturday, May 3rd! The market will be open from 9am to 1pm, Saturday May 3rd, and every Saturday through October. It’s been a long, cold winter, we can’t wait to celebrate our community and fresh, local food together!

Alice at Ambler Farmers MarketAlice Bakery & Confectionery (North Wales, Pa): As if Alice needs an introduction 🙂 If you shopped at the market last year, you know not to delay your stop at ABC, as your favorite breakfast treat could be sold out by the time you arrive! At Alice, you can expect a variety of savory breads, from your standard French baguette to a Gorgonzola & tri-colored cracked peppercorn bread. Amaranth Gluten Free Bakery (Lancaster, PA): New This Season! Delicious, artisan gluten free baked goods which include flat breads, thumb print cookies, granola bars and more! So good, even the gluten-tolerant will enjoy! spiceoflifelancaster.com

Apple Tree Goat Dairy (Juniata County, Pa): Apple Tree will offer a large variety of products including, goat milk cheese, yogurt, milk, butter, pork, goat, chicken, turkey, eggs and goat milk soap.

Cardinal Hollow Winery (North Wales, Pa): Small boutique winery that is producing wines that no one else is making like: Jalapeno, Whiskey Mead, Gewurztraminer, Hazelnut Port and 25 more.  The winery also hosts bridal showers, first Friday events and comedy nights.

Clay Brick at Ambler Farmers MarketClay Brick Farms (Pequea, Pa): Clay Brick Farms offers a wide array of veggies, some fruit, grass-fed beef, pastured chicken, eggs, jams and pickled products. Steve and Donna’s product is lovingly produced, and as a result, it is fantastic. Wonderful people = wonderful food!

Compassionate Joe (Paradise, PA):
New This Season! JUST. GOOD. COFFEE. Compassionate Joe will be offering a selection of freshly roasted Fair Trade Organic coffees available for purchase by the bag. Each week there will be pour-over sampling of the coffees available. The coffees being offered at the market will have been roasted at our Lancaster roasting facility on the thursday prior! Compassionate Joe will also be serving brewed & iced coffees by the cup as well as a selection of Epicurean Frappes that are sure to impress. compassionatejoe.com

Cultivating Joy (Oreland, PA): New This Season! Cultivating Joy will offer the freshest cut flowers, nurtured locally and sustainably with a heaping abundance of joy. For your pleasure, an assortment of potted plants and herbs will accompany our seasonal blooms and bouquets at market. Unfortunately, our extended and exuberant winter has delayed their attendance until some time in June. We look forward to welcoming them then!

Davidson Exotics (Kennett Square, Pa): What more can we say but, MUSHROOMS! Davidson’s offers a wonderful variety of mushrooms from your everyday standards to the exotics.

Frecon at Ambler Farmers' MarketFrecon Farms (Boyertown, Pa): Frecon Farms has been growing some of Pennsylvania’s finest tree fruits since 1944. Throughout the season they will offer cherries, peaches, plums, blueberries, apricots, nectarines, raspberries, apples, pears, pumpkins, and squash. You can also expect cider, hard cider, fruit butters, and more! Frecon has an abundance of fabulous fruit, but all things in due time… Their arrival at market will be a bit delayed, but rest assured, as soon as the cherries are ready, Frecon will be in attendance for the season!  www.freconfarms.com

Pennypack Farm (Horsham, Pa): Less than five miles from Ambler, it’s hard to get any more local than this! Pennypack offers a wide assortment of organically produced vegetables, as well as, herbs, flowers and a diversity of cow and goat cheeses from other local sustainable farms. www.pennypackfarm.org

Lancaster Hummus Company (Lancaster, PA)
Lancaster Hummus Co. is a family owned business committed to making great tasting Hummus, Guacamole and Salsa. Their son, Sean, is actively involved in the operations of the business by promoting and spreading the love for his family’s flavorful creations. You can find him doing cooking demonstrations using the hummus flavors around the region and at local farmers markets. Their flavors of hummus consist of Lemon Kale, Blazn Buffalo, Chipotle Black Bean, Sweet Pumpkin, Chocolate Cherry, Red Beet Garlic, Lady Belle, and Garlic. Their salsa flavors are Fresh & Sassy and Smoked Pineapple.
